Construction Details:

The bubble dress was sewn by myself & Aidensdame out of jersey knit so it would be stretchy & lay right. She also made the leg warmers & corduroy pants (& embroidered little gears onto the pockets). The rest of the costume was made by myself. The wig was my old Lady Gaga wig I wore for Otakon's Gaggle of Gagas, I just added the red, blue & white wefts.

Personal Thoughts:

I'm honestly not a big fan of the design for Kaede's "steampunk" outfit, but I was honored to get to be the mascot girl for Anime USA. I actually had a lot of fun wearing the outfit. I got to help with promotions for the con before & during AUSA & helping out with the charity auction on Sunday. I even got to co-host the AUSA masquerade, which was made me a little nervous, but was so much fun (I hope I did a good job, I tried to be funny & charismatic). I'm excited to see what AUSA 2010 has in store this year.
