Construction Details:

Made a new China.

I am a lot happier with this top compared to my last one. I used Chinese brocade (YAYz! Chinese Brocade!!!) this time around, and got it for $5 a yard, which was amazing. I got the frog clasps from a trimming store for $1.25 for each, which I had to hand sew on for pretty obvious reasons. They're still not the kinda frog clasps I wanted to use, but they're better than the last ones I used for the other shirt. Those frogs broke so easily. Though them breaking was my motivation to make a new top of China.

Also, first time I successfully used interfacing. I always messed up whenever I tried in the past, so I feel accomplished with myself. I'm actually getting better! There was also a part of the pattern that I could never get before that was in other patterns that I finally sewed/ understood right. Happy days. This cosplay was filled with firsts for me. I forgot the pattern I used. I'll go try to find the pattern I used later.

I used the same pants from my last China. Just fixed them up a bit. For some odd reason the seam ripped in the front and back of the pants, and I also made the elastic tighter around the wasit so that way they stay up better.

I will get better pics of this outfit sometime in spring for the Asian shoot I'm having with my Asian friends. Those with ACP accounts here and in the shoot are SmartGem and Astachan, so be sure to look forward to the Asian good times~
