Construction Details:

I went through about two or three different versions of this costume, fixing it up each time I wore it to a convention. Everything was made by hand: jackets, pants, cuffs, ring cuffs, undershirt. I fabric painted the wristcuff and jacket myself. The piping on the jacket was really interesting to do, I like the visual aesthetic it creates.

Personal Thoughts:

Many many moons ago, I was quite obsessed with Kingdom Hearts. Like, in way too deep. It was all I could talk about. And my favorite character was Roxas. I adored him, I enjoyed his relationship with Axel. Yeah, pretty much your typical fangirl. So I was really happy at the time when I did this costume. And it made others happy to see me. I don't feel quite the same anymore, mostly because I had just... been so engulfed in things that it took over my life. But I was very pleased with this costume and it's what most people recognize me/know me for. So I guess it's not all bad.
