Construction Details:

Oh, Universal Century. How plain thou art. And yet I had more trouble with the jackets than I care to admit. Envel made her own Fraw Bow and I made Amuro and Sayla.

Not too much to tell about the construction. Jackets were made from kona cotton for the great selection of colors they had and were lined with a plain lower thread count cotton to give them extra body. Sayla's coat was based from a pattern of a button up shirt but was modified so heavily I almost wonder why I bothered with a pattern in the first place. Belts were all made by Envel, which was AWESOME because I would not have been able to make them and sleep before the con! There are a few things wrong with the costumes, but if you folks can't tell what those things are then far be it from me to point them out to you!

Personal Thoughts:

In the past year or two I've been growing rather fond of all things UC. Truthfully, I wouldn't have even done this costume had it not been for much persuasion from Envel and my hardcore gundam fan of a boyfriend. The group happened and turned out pretty well... they're really comfy and fun to wear. It's also really cool to get a nod of approval from the real Gundam fans.
