Construction Details:

All the plaid started off as a white and red plaid. I dyed it to be pink and red and then hand painted the dark maroon lines. Cape is lined with a stretch sateen. 1/4in white bias tape was used for the edging. Headband is 2 skinny headbands from claires, criss=crossed and then the bow was added. Kusukusu is made entirely out of fleece. With handpainted facial features. Sweater, collared shirt, red tie, tights, and shoes were bought.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume would have been really easy if it wasn't for the dying and handpainting. I love it though.
