Construction Details:

This costume has probably been one of my favorites other than Gum. It was completed the first time in 2009 for Anime Expo and worn with two of my best friends and the re-vamped to compete with my beloved Spacey at NYAF 2010. More pictures of the re-make to come including (hopefully) some comparison shots of the elements I remade for competition.

Personal Thoughts:

I fell in love with the Vanilla Ware games after cosplaying Odette from Odin Sphere. I hope to one day make at least one costume from each game (however it seems more likely that I will make multiple costumes from each game if I keep dressing all my friends up). Muramasa in particular was a game my dear friend Mike and I played on the streets in Akihabara when we were out in Japan in 2009. We decided to cosplay the main characters and at the last minute added our friend Suu4-L-C by making her the BIGGEST ABSURD BOX EVER to go with a Sayo costume.
