Construction Details:

I had to make four of these uniforms! They were simple loose fitting tops with detachable sailor collars, stripes painted on with acrylics. The skirts were simple pleated skirts rectangle skirts. True to the show, the skirts are very short so I wear spankies underneath. All the pink and burgundy fabric had to be dyed since the correct color was no where to be found! The real challenge was my wig. It began as a normal shoulder length wig, and many extensions were added to create a full back pigtail part. Then I pulled it into pigtails and stubbed the ends. The oddly shaped pigtails are actually made from a styrofoam egg base covered in hair extensions and glued onto the stubs. The socks and shoes were easy store finds. No patterns used.

Styling Notes

Wig Review

This wig is too thin to be parted for pigtails. I recommend starting with something thicker if you are doing a wig like this. (like a Femme Fatale)
