Construction Details:

The whole base is made from ivory polar fleece. The ears and paw details are also polar fleece. The zipper cover is made from yellow cotton. All of it is lined, including the paws, which made the costume very, very hot. :( The hood was lined with black fleece instead of ivory to better give the shadowed look. I feel that it turned out just as I'd hoped!

The mask is a black stretch knit, which covers my whole head and chesk for stability. There are two holes in the neck where the wig's braided twin tails stick out. The eyes are LEDs that my boyfriend ended up pretty much making, which we covered in red acrylic (which will be remade entirely). The mouth is made from sintra, which I taped off and painted!

The claws are made of MDF composite wood. The middle claw on each paw is longer than the others, which my boyfriend fashioned into handles to allow me to completely extend the paws without them looking weird. The claws are surrounded in poly-fill inside the paws.

The boots are 6" clear stripper heels, which I covered in craft foam, then painted. I will be remaking those, as well as the boot-covers, for Dragon*Con. The tail is polar fleece, stuffed with poly-fill, attached to a belt.

Personal Thoughts:

Overall, I'm happy with how this costume turned out. Metro, being the first con I wore her to, was a test run sort-of, and now I know what I need to improve upon for Dragon*Con. So let the fixings begin!
