Construction Details:

[would you believe I spent under $20 on this costume? I kid you not. JoAnn's, you have the best sales ever] Okami's artstyle is so, SO gorgeous and I really wanted to pay respect to that by painting the black outlines on the costume. It may look easy, but you gotta think about how the costume will look when you pose and whether or not the effect will work! The blue trim on the kimono took FOREVER. It may as well be called one jumbo-size of bias tape, because that's pretty much what it is. So...much...ironing....and thread! I know Fuse has the orbs float behind her, but like hell I'm gonna do that. The mask worn in the latest photos is made from watercolor paper.

Personal Thoughts:

I'm very pleased with how this came out! The black outlining, while tiring to do, gives an amazing effect~ Fuse was the only character I really liked, but that's because she had DOGGIES And I look like a Japanese Dr. Suess character.
