Construction Details:

This was three days of endless fun, cranked it out about four days before Otakon. It started out over 7ft, but one morning I remembered that there was that damn prop rule. So I ended up hacking off about 10in off of that thing, even after everything was constructed and reinforced. I'll just say, alot of cardboard, wires, bags of hot glue sticks, and pain. For something so large, it held pretty well. After bumping into alot of people, dropping and banging the thing, its still in good shape. With so limited references of Soifong's Bankai, I think it came out pretty nice. It was really fun to walk around with, for about an hour, until the pain kicks in. I am guessing that this thing weighs about 30-50 lbs all being supported by your arm. Although it's a shame that I couldn't get any decent pictures of this.
