Construction Details:

This was really just an excuse to use my green Ivy wig from Cosworx. It was really fun. Even though I only wore it to the Friday night rave at Otakon 08(As I got sick Saturday night/Sunday when I was going to wear it again) I was noticed and people liked the way I did the gems. I used soft styrofoam to make the gems, which when I got the shape I wanted down, was easy enough. I painted plastic wrap and covered the forms with that since painting styrofoam itself is annoying. Plastic pearls were then used for the trim/necklace. The earrings were charms and crystals I found at the craft store. I had to use gold paint to get the top parts right. I then just made them into earrings using gold wire, hooks and hot glue. The dress was made from a modified dress pattern out of a jersey knit-type fabric. It's really comfy. I added the points to the tops of my boots using black foam sheets and hot glue. I need to curl my wig right. Next time I wear this costume I'll make sure I get pictures taken. :P
