Construction Details:

This costume was a pain. First there was tracking down the right fabric, running around two different cities for it and then BARELY having enough (had to slim down the pants some and do a bit of cheating on the sleeves). It was also annoying to have to go around getting all those varying sizes of gems and then making the pattern a million times and glueing each one on! I do really lobe the way all the tiny hand painting came out too. This costume was a pain with its fully lined pants, lined jacket with backed fabric (cause it was perfect but too thin!). I had some fit issues cause I'm a stick but I got it to work of course...and totally sewed my finger hard core into my machine putting the zipper in >< I'm also really proud with how the sheer under shirt came out. I was nervous with the collar but the interfacing worked and the french seams look so neat and clean <3

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was not as easy as it would appear. First off the alternating types of black material...they look so alike but they aren't! It drove me crazy trying to figure out what was going on. Secondly...there are TWO different gem designs for this costume. Why he has two I have no idea! but it definitely made me go crazy trying to pick which one I wanted to do and took a lot to not do both.
