About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume was relatively easy; I picked up a pattern to alter and it went smoothly. The 'trickier' parts were the trim and accessories. (I include the red collar as an accessory.) In order to make my life simple I decided to use iron on double-sided adhesive everything for the accessories. I know, I know, not the best choice, but easy! The yellow accents were just two sides of fabric adhered together and then cut to shape. The red collar was more of a pain, but I discovered a very thick double-sided adhesive 'interfacing'. I ironed the fabric on both sides, cut to shape and then sewed a trim to the edges. (I had to make a pattern for the shapes and test it out before I used the real thing.) For my hair I made a tiny bun on the top of my head, surrounded it with fake hair and then placed my hairpiece on top of that. (Aside from the little loop on the hairpiece, that's my real hair.)
