About this Costume
Construction Details:
The purple dress was made from scratch. I French seamed most of the dress and lined the lavender parts so the skirt is pieced together from 10 separate pieces of fabric. The scarf is a piece of lime green fabric that I machine hemmed.

The headband is a plastic one that I covered with purple fabric. The wig is actually one I bought for my planned Youko cosplay which is why it's longer and redder than accurate. ^_^;; (I didn't want to buy a new wig for something I'm not likely to ever wear at a con other than maybe NYCC/NYAF next year. >_>;)

The pink tights were bought and I wish I could have found a lighter pink shade locally. The shoes were a cheap pair of black pumps that I painted purple with leather paint. I made clip-on shoe bows out of vinyl and painted them to match.

Personal Thoughts:
I usually just wear one of my existing cosplays for Halloween. But I recently picked up a couple of Scooby Doo boxsets and was reminded how much I loved it as a kid. So, I thought it would be fun to do a Daphne costume for Halloween. ^_^ And do silly stuff in it like browse through the mystery section at Borders and look for Ghost Hunt manga at Midtown Comics. XD
