Construction Details:

I have a thing for these type of costumes (zoot suits). I blame The Mask and Joker. I tried to make the shapes exaggerated so I could get the Y-shape he has, but I think I need more batting/interfacing to aid with that. I added black accents anywhere I could to follow that BATB style (which I absolutely LOVE!) The cane I made by sanding down the tip of a dowel rod and the discs are 6mm foamies hotglued into place. The glasses are foamie, as well, and I can't see out of them, but a little bit of an angled-vision is fine! I made the jacket - hell, most of this- without a pattern, and I'm pretty pleased with it! The music notes are vinyl and they're embroidered onto the jacket.

Personal Thoughts:

OH MY GOD THIS EPISODE. So I already have a great love and admiration for BATB because it gives exposure to so many DC characters that aren't really in the spotlight outside of comics. I heard great things about the musical episode and when it got leaked back on Sept 22, I was grinning like an idiot the entire time. It was just SO. DAMN. GOOD. NPH as Music Meister was phenomenal. And I'm a sucker for musical episodes of things but this one just took the cake. I've been mistaken for Joker, Riddler, and Darkwing Duck. And Prince. Which is acceptable.
