Construction Details:: All from my closet or good will. It was a last minute thing so I have no wig for the first time I wore her. But I really love Saki so I wanted to be able to wear it again. I bought a super cheap Halloween wig-- it was a disaster! The only one in a color remotely similar to Saki's color was a Renaissance wig with a braid around the crown of the head. When I opened the package I was relived and horrified. The braid was not sewn into the wig very well so it came off very easy. But the wig has almost no fibers in the back and it was a poof of a mess. I took a lot of time sectioning out the hair, pulling it tight and using a blow drier I switched from Hot to cool for about 3 minutes per section. There is still some wave to it, but it has been almost tamed. This wig is only good with a hat on. Some day I will do her justice and get a real wig!
Personal Thoughts:: Some friends in my Anime club and myself went apple/ pumpkin picking in October of 2009 and decided to make it another chance to cosplay. I have had this red coat for years and when I first watched Eden of the East Saki's coat reminded me of my own. It was a little crazy to see that the only thing I needed to buy for this was the pink turtle neck! I love this series and think more people need to see it! I really like Saki and think we are similar personality types, now I need to find my prince...
