Construction Details:

Ivy is a fairly simple costume. She's mostly a ton of Ivy leaves sewn to a bodice & held up with ooooh, about 5 yards of fashion tape...

Personal Thoughts:

I made this a few years ago as a Halloween costume. I took it to Dragoncon shortly after to join friends in a Batman group they put together. After that Ivy stayed in my costume closet for a few years until I reworked her for a "Supervillain" costume theme night at a local club I frequent. There a friend of mine, Deanna Danger, asked me to help her & our friend Holly out with a local drawing event that was being featured at the Virginia Comicon. So of course I said yes. Deanna is Harley Quinn, Holly is Catwoman. It was a lot of fun helping out with the event, drawing door prizes & doing photos. Fangoria magazine was there along with other local magazines that did photos & interviews with us. I'm so glad I got to help sponsor such a fun and artsy event!
