Construction Details:

I decided since I was going to be wearing it to a ball, I wanted to make it look more flashy than the plain flats of colors in the picture. Fabric chose was really important to me. I wanted to make everything mismatched, but still flow together. I have fabrics ranging from corduroy to silk. My favorite part was adding all the detailed on beading and special touches I wanted to add onto the costume to make it mine. The outcome of the costume was different than what I wanted, but I still love it a lot. The leg and arm guards are all handpainted, and took FAR too long. I normally NEVER paint things on my costumes, but it had to have some stretch. The pipe was the most trying thing on this costume. I'm happy that I'm able to say I'm one of the first people with the pipe though! It really does make the costume, it also makes the costume uncomfortable.

Personal Thoughts:

The costume itself wasn't hard (it was very easy), but the pipe was difficult as I had almost no experience with props and no one to help me. I think it come out fairly well for me.
