Given that the naruto series has SO MANY cosplayers, I wanted to cosplay as someone in the series a little more unique, or at least not so common. Since most people do not cosplay as filler characters, I picked up Guren, whom I liked very much during her arc. This costume was thrown together over 2 weeks, but I work full time and go to school at night so I could squeeze only a few hours in. Overall, fun experience. I made the kimono, standard pattern. I used about 7 layers of paint to create the two camellias on her kimono/yukata. I ran out of time, so as you can tell, her rope is the wrong color and my hair is no where near poofy enough. But that's ok, it was definitely fun.
