Construction Details:

After showing the third episode of Kuroshitsuji to my friend Shannon during AMA, we had a hilarious discussion about me making the bonnet and getting as many Sebastian cosplayers as I could find to wear it. After that, it had to be done.

I had enough leftover fabric from my Ciel ballgown in the correct/close enough colors to make this. The entire thing is drafted from circles. The brim is cut from a Peltex base and then covered with pink satin, the same satin I used to make my Ciel hat. The pink ruffles are half of a blanket binding cut and then hand ruffled.

The main head part is a large circle sewn to the brim, and then hand gathered in the back. I originally planned to put elastic in the back but two different attempts - with two different elastics and methods - failed. I just hope whoever puts this on doesn't have an overly large head.

The flowers were purchased from Michael's and then stitched on by hand. They kind of scratch the head, but I wasn't wearing a wig when I tried it on.

The pink bonnet lives! Now I just need to get my Sebastian wig and take some decent pictures.
