Worn to Animazement 2009

I made both the Syaoran cosplay and the Sakura cosplay my friend Kiki wears. In total both cosplays took me about 4 days total. I made Syaoran during the week between work, and Sakura was made over an entire weekend.

The Syaoran cosplay is made out of two types of muslim and black stretch cotton. Everything except the boots and wig were made (yes, even the turtle neck). The Sakura cosplay was made out of white sateen cotton for the inner dress, white bridal satin for the outer dress, pink pajama satin for the trim (which was hand cut), and white casa satin for the veil.

These were relatively easy cosplays, but the Sakura dress with its two layers and bridal satin was hot for Kiki. Bridal satin does not breathe well. The only reason I used it was because they didn't have enough of the casa in white and I got it for half off. Will never do that again.
