Construction Details:

Like Kapalaka on FacebookThe jacket and skirt are made out of stretch poplin. Pleats are permanently sewn down, and the wig was styled by myself. =) I drafted a pattern for the jacket and ended up sewing this costume up until the afternoon of the con. Pretty good for a last-minute cosplay! XD

Personal Thoughts:

I don't know what it is about blue haired characters, but I certainly have a thing for cosplaying them. Also, I don't know how many times I've been called Kaname in this costume. I think Toradora! may have lifted her character's look. Although I do like Taiga, Ami appealed to me out of all the girls because I could empathize with her the most. I enjoyed her strong-willed nature and ability to push every other character's buttons. XD
