Construction Details:

Costume completed November 2007. I didn't get to wear this again and take pics until summer of 2009, it's a very simple, basic costume. I made this costume for Janicon, the dress is made out of cotton and was simple to construct. Features gathered skirt and sleeves, the apron was a re-use from Wonderland Haruhi and is fully lined. Wig purchased off of Cosplay Wig and styled accordingly. Bow was made out of craft foam and clips onto the wig. The shoes were hard to find for something so basic, but in the end I lucked out on eBay. Unico was my first anime ever at the tender age of 5, and I felt I really had to pay homage to this classic.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume is so old school that no one can recognize it at cons! Unico is the first anime I ever saw, back when I was just five years old, and it used to show on the Disney Channel (we're going back thirty-plus years here, folks). But when people ask who I am cosplaying, I feel like I'm educating a new generation and hopefully they will check out this classic anime. Also, I dislike the pink fabric I chose for this with a passion, but it was the only fabric I could find in that specific shade of pink at the time. D: I would LOVE to remake this, tbh.
