Construction Details:

I started out with a tube dress. Then I created red embroidered scales to make it look like gills. I sewed them on the tube dress. I added the white sheer parts as fins. The yellow taping at the top represents the mouth and whiskers. The crown at the top is well... a crown.

Personal Thoughts:

When I first saw the MAGIKARP VS MAGIKARP video on youtube... I wanted to do a Magikarp battle. I quickly debated on what to do with it.. I was making a simple red dress... then it 'evolved' into this baby. I love the design and it turned out to be fantastic. Magikarp reminds me of those princesses who always need saving. And now it looks like I'm a Princess fish. XD
