About this Costume
Construction Details:
The dress is a very simple pink cotton, with 10 buttons (I should probably add an 11th one, for accuracy), and the jacket is red denim. The boots were an insanely lucky find at the local Payless, and the arm bands and wrist bracelets were made out of craft foam, elmer's glue, foam hot glue, and spray paint...the night before the Convention. XD I'll be fixing them up soon by covering them with friendly plastic and repainting them before I wear this again.
Personal Thoughts:
Here I was, thinking this costume would be simple to do! Of course, Aeris is my favorite character to cosplay, so this costume has taken me almost a year to complete, and finally be happy with. There are a few tweaks that still need to be taken care of, such as the jacket (not just the pockets, but the jacket itself needs to be completely redone, the accuracy bothers me!), and the tops of the boots. I think this will always be my favorite costume though. Aerith was the first character I ever cosplayed at a convention, and one of her other dresses was the first one I ever made on my own that I completed. So, she will always have a special place in my heart as my favorite character. :)
