Haro there. My name is Gundam-baka :D Gundam fangirl that I am, I fell in love with Setsuna when he gave GUNDAM a whole new meaning. His civilian clothes are simple, but they are a symbol of how he still keeps his culture and history with him and not homogenize. Therefore, this is less a costume and more just an everyday-use outfit. The tunic is fitted at the sleeve ends and collar only and the most durable thing I've made. Machine washable -thankfully- since I often end up on the floor or rocks or sand or whatever while wearing it... When researching the clothes I learned Kurdish clothing is world-renowned for colors and textures, so when I decided to make his blue jacket I wanted to make it more realistic and basically just stand out. I actually use it in my normal wardrobe. I love it to bits. The scarves I made extra long and dyed with both rit and/or oolong tea. I use them often in my normal wardrobe as well. I tried to use a mix of different textures, so the pishten/belt, tunic, scarves, and jacket-- each piece has a unique texture and I think they blend really well. Durable, unique, fun to wear around and shop for gunpla or yell TRANSAM... I love this cos.
