Construction Details:

Speaking of last minute costumes. I REALY don't recommend deciding on a costume like this less than a week before the event date and with work and school almost everyday + 2 other costumes on top. I didn't have time to make boot covers or the arm guards, and hair obviously, couldn't get a proper wig in time. Everything had to make do with what i already had, but the FISH was actually the most fun part.

The fish design was spray painted onto the fabric with a stencil. I spent a good 3-4 hours just drawing the stupid thing in every detail, and then printed on cardstock, only for another 2 hours of hardcore carving to follow. My fingers literally lost all feelings for a week. I swear though, the fish alone took longer than everything else combined >___> But guess it was worth it! Still need to put in the red touches and finish whatever that's still left. But this really is one costume that i actually liked in a while.
