About this Costume

My friend Envel and I love Tales of Destiny and laughed at the possibility of cosplaying it together. Then one day I received a yellow mullet in the mail from her. From that point, I was locked in.
This is my first time making armor, which I must say presented a great challenge! It's paper mache with paperclay. The costume's debut was postponed a few times due to how time consuming the armor was. It was bulky and a little fragile, but I think it turned out okay considering.
The shirt is jet set and super comfortable, the goofy MC Hammer style pants are cotton, and all of the belt embellishments are PVC. The boots were a thrifty find that I just added buckles and bias strips to make them look more complicated than they actually are. The belt is marine vinyl with a really huge buckled--the blue fastening is actually a sawed open Christmas ornament. - Personal Thoughts:
- I had a lot of fun wearing this just for how funny being "in character" was! I look like a freaking goofball when I wear it, but honestly I think that worked in my favor.
