About this Costume

This costume took a lot more work than I anticipated. The sleeves were the biggest pain. I pretty much quilted the red and blue diamonds together. 40 hours later.... The heart, club and spades on the arms were satin stitched on to the white sleeves. I suppose I was being pretty ambitious. The large bow in the back has 1/2 furniture foam in it to keep it up and sturdy.I had some left over from making Chopper. ^_^;; The red jewel was a costume jewelry ring I got from a local costume store. I just cut the ring part off with my dremel and added a pin. Oh yes, and I cut and colored my hair to be Sydney. I was looking for a change in hair color anyways. So, not wearing a wig with this costume was actually a relief since the costume itself is quite warm!
- Personal Thoughts:
- Chaotic Kiss is a manga created by my friend Michelle. She asked me to be her mascot for Anime Boston, pass out business cards and promote her artist alley table and website. I love this manga because her art style is similar to mine and I like how she touches upon the lifestyles of transgender females. It's a unique subject that you don't see a lot of manga characters being, but it tends to be common lifestyle choice in real life, especially in the anime community. Go support Chaotic kiss!
