Construction Details:

Costume was made using lots and lots of red satin, with purple blanket binding on the trim. The neck piece is currently separate from the costume itself, but I will hopefully be attaching it soon, along with a bit of purple fabric under it (I didn't notice the differences in the anime...woops!). The gems are made from EasyCast Resin, with oil paint pigment, because the blue and yellow dyes for the resin didn't exactly make green...

Personal Thoughts:

I hate and love this costume at the same time. It's more comfortable than it looks, even if it is huge and somewhat cumbersome to travel with, and requires a personal bubble to be formed. lol I'm not proud of my construction on this, although at the time I was extremely proud -- considering I had only been sewing a little over a year at the time and had never taken on a project quite like this dress before.
