Construction Details:

The first time I wore the costume, Detour 2009, I had literally decided to make it the night before the con. I ran to the store to pick up some fabric and stopped and purchased the sunglasses, necklace(which I had to paint because it was blue), and socks. Everything else was items I already had, including the pink wig.

Because I had so hastily sewn it (I didn't actually finish it either) when I decided to wear it again, I seam-ripped the shirt apart and added new fabric to the top and bottom part of the shirt. The shorts were newly purchased and I found a much better pair of boots at a thrift store. The wig was something I got off ebay for a different costume but thought it would be better than the previous wig. I also purchased more accurate bracelets this time around and wore my blue contact lenses.

If I wear this costume again I will most likely change up the wig and I want to get more accurate thy highs.

Personal Thoughts:

I originally made this costume because I was bummed that I didn't have any costumes to wear to Detour of 2009. Being a student and working a lot, I don't have a lot of free time to really make costumes. I made this the night before the con- it was a little ghetto, but I was happy.

I decided to wear it again and revamp it because of how I cut corners the first time around.
