Construction Details:

This costume is about half-made and half-altered.

The jacket and vest were both made with patterns. and are fully lined. The shirt and pants are from a thrift store; I tailored them to my size rather than making them from scratch. The shoes were altered from a pair of red and purple Madden Girl heels. I dyed the heel and toe with shoe polish, repainted the heels, and replaced the laces. I bought the glasses from JCPenny and made the glasses chain. The skull beads are molded from Sculpty clay and painted. The chain itself is made with metal links and alternating dark red, light red, and black crystal beads. The arm bands are actually bra straps, and the tie is just some striped ribbon. The gloves and chain on the pants were things I already had.

I made the chainsaw as well.
It's a really ghetto prop, actually. It's made almost entirely from cardboard and craft foam. The body is a cardboard box covered in foam. The circular part that sticks out is made from the bottom of a lemonade container, and covered in more foam. The blade is spray-painted cardboard, and the chain and teeth on the edges are more foam. The top handle is yet MORE cardboard covered in foam, and the back handle is a wooden dowel and two metal "L" connectors. The entire thing took about a day to make. It's very lightweight, which makes it really easy to carry around a convention all day.
