Construction Details:

So this is actually my third attempt at this same costume, and might not even be my last! I'm really obsessed with Ghost in the Shell, especially Stand Alone Complex, and Motoko is one of my favorite characters.
This costume was actually a challenge for me because I was really trying to go for accuracy, yet still have it be somewhat functional.
I've been planning this remake for quite some time, but it took me about a year to finally find a fabric I liked. Oddly enough, I ended up using the back side of lavender satin, but it actually had a nice texture and the color is perfect.
The top is fully lined with boning and has a built in bra. The belt buckle, tops on the thigh highs, and shin guards all have craft foam in them.
The leather jacket was bought a while ago when I wore my previous Motoko cosplays, so I decided to re-use it.

Personal Thoughts:

Whew, this costume was such an ordeal! I bought 3 different types of fabric before settling on the one I did and everything that could have gone wrong with the construction of it, did go wrong! In the end, I'm still not completely satisfied with how this turned out and may remake it in the future.
