Construction Details:

Aaaah, my first watched-it-must-make-it-now costume! I made the whole costume way back in November, believe it or not. That's the earliest I'd ever finished a costume before the debut con! The coat was some really old 60's pattern as a base and then whoa extended and reformatted! It's lined too~. First time lining something and I handsewed it the lining in even though it's like four feet long. x_x Ooh, boots are another favorite part because they're HUGENORMOUS and AWESOME.

Now the scythe on the other hand... that was definitely a "oh-crap-five-days-to-Katsucon" thing and it looks the part. :/ Haha but whatever! Awkward props are the best props!

At NYAF, I got to wear the official Square-Enix Maka costume and use their official awesome scythe. That costume was so professionally made I fangirled while wearing it. *0*
