About this Costume
Construction Details:
Completely hand sewn (well, minus the gloves, backpack, and hat), and I have to say, I'm pretty darn happy with the outcome. It was a joint sewing project between YourSpilledMilk and I for AWA XIII this year. Started on it in the summer tiem, spending late nights working on it. xDD Good tiems.

Anyway, the dress itself and the bootcovers are made out of gabardine and biased binding is what I used to make the trims. The bootcovers were hell to make...I made at least 2 pair out of my frustration and extreme obsession in getting them as perfect as I could, and alas...They still aren't what I'd hoped. However, until I feel like making them into actual skates, this is how they will stay. v__v;; Ordered the wig from an ebay seller (long wigs are horrid. I hate them)and got the backpack from Goodwill.

For the bootcovers, I wore my green low-top converse and slipped a big sock over them to smooth them out. That way they got a better look to them. They stay on with Velcro in the back. I haven't made a sole for them yet, so they kinda look bad when you see them up close...But I'm working on it!

I think I'll rewear this cosplay, but only if I do the short-haired Genesis version. I have realized that short hair is SO much easier to deal with. v_v And people wonder why I crossplay sometimes... xDD
