Construction Details:

My second costume (4th made). This was my dream costume, the one I always wanted to make. I'm very pleased with this costume. There were a lot of significant cosplay firsts for me with this costume. Not surprising I guess though, with it only being the fourth costume I've ever made, I'll have many more firsts to come. First costume I made with almost entirely no patterns at all. The only pattern I had was for the black unitard/bodysuit, and it was greatly modified from a swimsuit pattern. First time working with spandex and making a unitard and a thong. And my favorite, first real wig styling. I thank both Patches and Tarranell for help with some ideas on how to make it work. The giant red bobble is in fact a ridiculously oversized plastic Christmas ornament (in fact all the shiny red bobbled used to be plastic Christmas ornaments. Aside from the wig, the shoes are one of my favorite parts of this costume. I made them with the wooden sandal-like bottoms, and I added squeakers to them to give the shoes Lime's characteristic clack-squeak noise they make when she walks. This is my favorite costume so far.
