About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The mini jacket is Kona cotton (my first time using the stuff, and it's suprisingly nice fabric.) I used a modified Victorian design for the corset, which is fully boned with spiral steel. The skirts are simple circle skirts and the blouse was the same one I used for my Nao cosplay. Oh yeah, the dice earrings were made by Pam and Mini logo belt buckle and checkered print shoes were internet finds.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Believe it or not, I really am a car girl (most people have trouble believing that....) It's been an idea of mine for a while to have an outfit based on my favorite car, the Mini Cooper (yeah, baby!) I originally had my own design, then my friend made a design for me, and I ultimately went with her idea, seen here: http://ladylucrezia.deviantart.com/art/Car-Fashion-Design-2-Again-109903463 and the Mini it was based on here: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b333/Duchess_Lucrezia/Orange%20Mini/orangemini.jpg Lots of people at the NAIAS really thought the outfit was really neat and it's a fun way to show my love for the Mini's. Made specifically for the 2009 North American International Auto Show, but I'm sure I'll take it to other car-related events.
