Completed January 2009
I started working on this back in April 2008, but due to lack of interest I didn't finish until Jan '09. I wanted something new to wear to South, so I just finished up a few small things on this costume. The tunic is made from basic cotton fabric, the seams are finished with my serger. The boots are actually kiddie boots, but I have small feet. I used deer hide to make the boot cuffs. The wig started out as a medium length, wavy wig, and I had to style it into what you see. I added in bangs and used hair curlers to get the needed size and lift, and used Got2Be Spray to hold it in place. It was a lot of trimming! The hat was simple as pie to make, even without a pattern. The belt was made from leather shoulder hide, which I cut, edge-coated, slicked the edges down, and painted. I used leather punching tools to create holes for the buckle. - Personal Thoughts:
- I never really wanted to make this version, but I have a lot of friends who cosplay from OoT, so I went for it. Plus I want to eventually make my boyfriend Adult Link, but I'm frustrated because after going to several Joann's, I can no longer find this basic fabric in green again! D:
