Construction Details:

I did some stupid things with this costume. Namely, ignore the fact I could buy the shirt and skirt for less then thirty bucks and spent a couple of days wrestling with my sewing machine to make them myself (I had several people ask me where I bought my shirt when I was running around without armor, and it was funny seeing their faces when I said I made it) The Armor is made with craft foam backed with muslin for stability, and uses snaps to clasp it shut along the side and shoulders, giving my a quick and easy way in and out of the piece. I need to remake the collar piece-that was made too early in the morning with my patterning judgments off, so it bows out weirdly and doesn't hug my neck as tight as it should.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a fun costume to wear, but it is very awkward while in the armor (losing the ability to bend at the waist, limited mobility of the arms, and needing someone to snap me in and out being a couple of the things that make it awkward) I had to use my sword to shift the bangs of my wig several times.
