Construction Details:

I Love Leather. And it's all because of Jenny. Wig styled, horribly, by me. Blue and yellow fabric is leather, brown fabric is pleather.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was a year late in the making. I was supposed to have it done when Sana_Chan and Jaina Solo debuted their Ashe and Fran costumes at AX 2007, but I didn't end up getting Penelo done until Fanime 2008! And even then it almost didn't get made. I'm so glad it did, even though it was rushed and is still only semi-complete. I was determined to make this outfit out of leather, and am thrilled that I did...even though that meant good-bye money ;_; Some details are evident, but other details weren't completed in time which is why it's not officially done yet. I don't normally style my wigs, but I attempted to for this particular costumes. I added rope and extra hair to each braid to make them fuller. It turned out better than I thought it would, actually, but I cut the side long bangs WAY too short and I'm still pissed about that because I don't know if there's anyway to remedy it. I had a wonderful time being Penelo and getting to wear it when Jaina Solo wore Fran again. Would be nice to wear this costume more than once...
