Construction Details:

Military surplus for the coat, pants and boots already owned, cravat half-assed from my random scraps of fabric pile, wig restyled from Mayama and Kyon. I've gotten so much use out of it!

Personal Thoughts:

When I was out hitting up all the military surplus stores in the Bay Area to find an appropriate shirt for America, Umi and I ran across this lovely Swedish coat that was *perfect* for Austria (and surprisingly inexpensive, at $30). It was a little big for me, and I was already doing America for Yaoi-Con, but it stuck in my head. A week or two later I asked Umi to go back and get it. I thought maybe I could stick one of our friends in it so that Umi (who was going to cosplay Hungary) could have a husband. Yaoi-Con came and went, and then I decided I'd just do it. Add another country to my Hetalia roster. ;)

Styling Notes

I had cardboard tubes clipped to this wig for a long time, attacking periodically with hairspray and heat. Amazingly enough, it's still holding the shapes 2 years after I wore it.
