Construction Details:

The first thing I tackled for this outfit was the over coat. I took a jacket pattern and modified it so that it flared out at the bottom. Instead of lining it I opted to french seam all of the jacket seams. The white wing like piece are attached around the arm holes and under the top collar. All of the gold pieces outlining the jacket are hand painted pieces of thin pleather that are glued into place. The under dress is a form fitting fish tale like dress that has the white posh lining rouched over top.The gloves are made from the same red casa as the jacket and just simply slip onto my hands. The collar is made out of foamy, and the head band is made from a piece of posh lining cut and then painted with a watered down periwinkle fabric paint.
