I started reading the manga a bit more than a week before Manga Next 2008, and after falling in love with both the design and the character, I decided to try to pull together her school girl outfit as best I could in the short amount of time. It was my first time making a seifuku and pleated skirt....(Read More) The reference picture I was using was this one: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v466/Setaginny/page039.jpg The color of Haman's hair looks a fuchsia-ish color. When I first saw the wig I used under bright store lights, it looked close to the color I had in mind from this reference. Upon seeing it in other lights, however, I could see that it is not completely accurate. And when using references where her hair is bright pink...it is definitely off. So to the few of you out there who are familiar with Haman, I apologize.

Personal Thoughts:

I went into this thinking the skirt would be the hardest part and the seifuku jacket the easiest. It was quite the opposite. The skirt was not that hard to make, but the collar and cuffs were just soooo annoying on the jacket. As mentioned above, this was just something quickly put together, so it's not perfect. But despite that, I really like it. I LOOOOOVE the wig and how it looks, even if it is not perfect color wise. I DO hope to improve this in the future, though, and get a wig with not only a slightly better color, but one I can weft extra hair into for actual high ponytails.
