About this Costume
Construction Details:
For a Halloween costume this was made really nicely. Ironically the easier the costume the better job I do on construction. Anyways, the dress is lined and boned so I don't have to have straps. The base fabric is the pretty taffeta looking fabric, that is certainly not taffeta! I also got these pretty organza from JoAnn's that has jewels and sparkles already on it, which I thought was PERFECT for Tink. I really wanted to go all out, actually I wanted to go over board, with the amount of sparkles and glitter. And trust me I did. I was giving fairy herpes to everyone. LOL. I made the wings out of wire and cellophane. I added beads, glitter and gems (which is hard to see in this photo) to the wings too. Shoes were $1 jellies I got at Wal*FART, then covered in left over fabric from the dress and then I add the puffs, gems and glitter. I
Personal Thoughts:
I usually NEVER do anything for Halloween, but this year I vowed to change that. I decided to make Tinkerbell on a whim, mostly because I wanted to try making fairy wings and I have been wanting to do something from Disney. Originally it was going to be Ariel since she is my fav Princess, but I didn't want to spend the money buy a new wig for Halloween. Being able to use your real hair is a plus!! Besides Tink doesn't get enough love and her attitude.
