About this Costume
- Construction Details:

This costume surprisingly only took me a few days. I used my old blue anime version Seras costume for the pattern and sewing the uniform went very quickly. However many many hours went into dying and redying the fabric to get a red I was pleased with and then covering it all in watered down acrylic paint and stage blood. The arm is made like a glove with a wire frame. All the fabric is handstiched to the frame. I wasn't sure how the arm would come out but it turned out exactly what I was going for in the end. It just has a bit of trouble standing up but I went back and adjusted it a bit. I own three different size fangs and though in the series Seras' fangs aren't as large as the ones I used I picked the over the top huge ones to use for the blood covered version because they show more and I felt it conveyed her transformation into a full vampire better than the smaller ones. Plus they make for some really freaking very Hellsing-crazy photos.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This poor thing needs to be updated since it's over a year old now and has gotten a lot of wear and a bit of a beating. I've already done two shoots with it so I don't know when I would wear it again but I will still patch it up just in case because I love it so much. update; Had a ton of fun with Shibby being her darker half XD The por costume has suffered a good bit of damage because the stage blood weaken the material. Costume itself as been repaired, just need to remake the spats (they finally bit the dust after about 8years) and need to remodel the arm as it's falling, uncomfortable and over all a bit shakey.
