Personal Thoughts:

It's hard for me to consider this a cosplay, but anyway... XD This photoshoot (or maybe I should say "event shoots", since they're not your average photoshoot-styled pics) was done for the Summer Cosplay '08 contest organized by CosplaySP ^^ (or maybe I should say that was our excuse for having a really fun cosplay day at the sea XDD).

Our initial idea was making the swimsuits from episode 6 "Remote Island Syndrome (Part 1)" for all characters (except for Taniguchi since he doesn't go to the beach in the series ^^u), but Yuki and myself didn't like ours very much, plus we didn't have enough time nor proper materials to make full swimsuits. So we decided to mix the ones from this illustration (http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/261/suzumiyaharuhifanbook4vl5.jpg) from the Official Fanbook (for Haruhi, Mikuru and Yuki) and the ones from episode 6 (for Itsuki and Kyon). Taniguchi would wear an original one... a Hawaiian-type one, since we thought that fits the character so very well XD

Haruhi and I were lucky to find similar-looking swimsuits, but Yuki's was made from scratch by me with burgundy lycra, and Kyon's and Itsuki's were modified adding the turquoise/white patterns to their sides. All that in 2-3 days and without a sewing machine... it was pure madness XD But as I said, we had so much fun (and surprised and strange glances XDD) at the beach and that's what matters ^___^

Styling Notes

I only took my base wig for Combat Waitress Mikuru and I tied it up with a white hairclaw XD
