About this Costume
Construction Details:
I made this costume to match a friend's before I had even seen the series. We ended up winning "Best Craftsmenship" with our costumes. This was the first time that I ever went so far out on a costume to find the little details (being the same height as my friend, the working prop, the Rozen key), and spent over 40 hours on it.

Favorite Aspect: The ruffles on the shirt cuffs. I was really terrified at first at having to make my own, but it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought, and for once, I got it done on the first try. :D The scissors! My dad helped me to cut them out with the jigsaw, and Becca and I spent up until con-night cutting them out, but they're fully moveable. AND, I learned how to use a sander making these. :D

Easiest Task: Buying the base shoes. The base wig was also a birthday present from Becca. Also, ordering the rings was pretty easy for Becca and I, once we decided exactly what we were looking for (playing with artistic license). We got our Rosa Mystica in green and blue, instead of gold. The collar pattern and ankle pattern were also drafted by Becca.
Personal Thoughts:
Though I haven't seen this series yet, I have to admit the character designs are really cute. My friend Becca made Suiseiseki late last year, and had since been begging me to be her twin sister as well. I turned her down at first, but we had so much fun as Ino and Sakura, so I thought I could give it a shot, and she finished suckering me into it.

After I retired the costume and sold it, I actually ended up missing it. :(
