Whee! I knew I had to make Nancy's ball gown from literally the moment I saw it. I am desperately in love with Idina Menzel becaues of Wicked, and I loved the movie Enchanted as well. Add in my obsession with the color green, ballgowns in general, roses, and curly brown hair? Yeah I was all over this dress. It was the first time I tried to make anything remotely "historical" so I struggled a bit. I still think my petticoats should have been poofier and my corset tighter, but I'm pretty happy with it over all. I even enjoyed making it. Yay for tedious hand-sewing! This costume was wonderfully refreshing.
