This is technically version 2, but the 1st one will NEVER make it on the internet if I can help it. Version 2 was first worn at Anime Weekend Atlanta 12(2006). Thanks to this costume, I got to meet an AWESOME Ken-chan! Matt! ^_^ and his Girlfriend Shannon!It was INSANE how much popularity this costume had! I'm not kidding! I mean it was crazier than May! and May I wasn't able to walk! I have never been given so much candy and hugs wearing a costume before! Thanks to Yachiru, I've gotten to meet tons of people, get glomped by the main singer of TsuShiMaMiRe and bombarded for pictures by HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR!!! O_o It was insane! Thanks to this costume, I've gotten 2nd runner up for cosplayer of the year from Janime Magazine/newspaper. Thank you so much for all those votes! Honestly, I did not think my costume was THAT good. O-o. But Yes! On to things about this cosplay ^_^ I spent about $228.62 +2 more pairs of Waraji on this costume in the end and worked about 10-20 hours on it...Though after my hilt broke off that one time after needing it shipped quickly back to GA, it's probably closer to 20 after all that time that was needed to REPAIR that crazy thing! O_o I paid a lot of attention to detail, trying to make EVERYTHING perfect. I did not make the hakama, as that came straight from Japan (for kendo classes). My friend Dani painted the vice captain symbol on my badge, but I had to put together the rest ^_^ Overall, I absolutely ADORE this costume.
