Construction Details:

This costume turned out to me more difficult than anticipated. It seemed to require modifications at every turn...the sleeves, the collar several times (there's wire in it to help it keep it's shape), the gloves...You definitely need a pattern for gloves and stretchy fabric works best. My brown fabric has very little give which made the gloves difficult to make. This costume has a lot of little details, and I did my best to match them all. There isn't a single piece of this costume that hasn't been handmade or modified. I even sewed gripper elastic in the stockings so they would stay up all day. My dad helped me make the watch which is mostly constructed out of wood and wire.
